If you are yearning
for freshness, excitement, and the unusual - you have come to the right
place.
Olga Baranova, a Russian jewelry designer, has been developing
her style for the past 13 years since graduating from Stroganoff
Academy of Art in 1992 in Moscow, Russia. An unexpectedness of
artistic decisions and approaches
had distinguished Olga from the start.
Her jewelry is saturated and inspired by the daring spirits
of the Russian Art Underground. Her collections combine originality, romanticism,
and the European sense of style. All pieces are both recognized and beloved
by the people of different ages and from all walks of life.
Being an unconventional artist, Olga is not afraid to experiment,
and her recognizable style is full of unexpected twists.
Olga on her art:
“I don’t invent my jewelry, I recall it. It is as if I was born
with it and just have to extract it from my genetic memory.
I live out a separate life and all of its inherent ups and downs
with each series of my work.
I create art that compels one to experience, feel, and live
life richly and fully; art that is pleasantly shocking at times.
I detect little doggies, kitties, and other banal cutesy distorted
reflections of the reality. I love people and all that is related to them.
I value emphasized individuality in style with jewelry being
the ideal vehicle for self-expression.
To me, jewelry is conceptual minimalism - a compressed form
of prolonged happiness.”
